Top 20 Sports Leagues – The Most Attractive Employers in Sport 2025

We’re back with the next shortlist in the countdown to the Most Attractive Employers in Sport 2025 Awards!

Following the announcement of the Sports Marketing Agencies, we now reveal the Top 20 Sports Leagues, as voted by professionals from around the globe. These organisations were recognised by those working in – or aspiring to work in – sport as some of the most desirable places to build a career.

The final rankings will be revealed at the iWorkinSport Awards Ceremony, held on May 8th at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, as part of the iWorkinSport Convention & Job Fair.

This year’s list includes leagues from a wide range of sports and geographies – showcasing the growing diversity and global appeal of working in sport. Football, as expected, leads the way with multiple leagues featured, but other sports like motorsport, basketball, rugby, padel, surfing, and tennis also make their mark.

New to the list this year are seven exciting entrants, reflecting emerging trends and expanding opportunities in sport:

MotoGP, Top 14, World Surf League, Swiss Super League, Kings League, Premier Padel, and Baller League. Their rise in popularity and unique approaches to engaging fans have clearly caught the attention of the industry’s workforce.

The results come from a study conducted by iWorkinSport, which surveyed more than 1,100 professionals from 55 countries, asking them:

“If you could choose to work anywhere in sport, where would that be?”

Respondents chose organisations across ten categories, and ultimately identified one overall “Employer of their Dreams.”
