Top 20 Football Clubs – The Most Attractive Employers in Sport 2025

Our series of announcements for the Most Attractive Employers in Sport 2025 continues - and today we bring one of the most anticipated shortlists: Football Clubs.

As the world's most popular sport, football naturally attracts top talent, not only on the pitch but also off it. For professionals aspiring to work in the game, club brands hold enormous power - and this list highlights the 20 clubs considered the most desirable employers in the industry today.

The final rankings will be unveiled on May 8th, during the iWorkinSport Awards Ceremony at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, as part of the iWorkinSport Convention & Job Fair.

This year’s list features clubs from six countries, with a strong showing from England (5 clubs), Spain (4), Italy (4), France (3), Germany (2), and, for the first time in this category, three clubs from the United States.

That’s because, unlike previous editions, this year’s survey grouped all football (soccer) teams together, regardless of geography. Previously, MLS clubs were included in the 'Sports Teams in the USA' category. This adjustment allowed Inter Miami CF, LA Galaxy, and Los Angeles FC to make their debut appearances in the Football Clubs ranking.

Two French clubs, Olympique Marseille and Olympique Lyonnais, also enter the list this year - bringing a fresh dynamic to the rankings. These five clubs replace last year’s entries: Ajax (NED), Internazionale Milan (ITA), Tottenham Hotspur (ENG), Al Nassr (SAU), and Wrexham A.F.C. (WAL).

The shortlist comes from a global study conducted by iWorkinSport, which surveyed over 1,100 professionals in 55 countries, asking: “If you could choose to work anywhere in sport, where would that be?”

Respondents selected organisations across ten categories and eventually indicated their single most preferred employer – their “Employer of their Dreams.”

In the Football Clubs category, the Top 20 most voted clubs, in alphabetical order, are:

  • AC Milan (ITA)
  • Arsenal (ENG)
  • Atlético Madrid (ESP)
  • Barcelona (ESP)
  • Bayern Munich (GER)
