About the role:
As the Trainee - Olympic Movement Unit on the Prevention of the Manipulation of Competitions (OM Unit PMC) you will be working within the OM Unit PMC specifically supporting the unit with legal and compliance work and planning and development of awareness-raising activities and tools.
Your responsibilities:
- Work within the team of the OM Unit PMC and within the realm of the Unit’s Strategy.
- Support the day to day operations of this Unit in administrative and organizational matters where needed.
Legal & Compliance
- Support the contact towards National Olympic Committees (NOCs) in relation to their activation (e.g. implementation of the OM Code PMC, educational support, case management etc.).
- Support the on-going checking of the compliance of IFs’ rules with the Olympic Movement Code on the Prevention of the Manipulation of Competitions. Maintain and update a database with key indicators in relation to IF compliance.
- Support the contact and activation of multi-sport event organisers on the prevention of the manipulation of competitions
- Assist and work on the planning, implementation and necessary and sustainable follow-up of the various global/regional/national workshops and seminars carried out by the Unit.
- Support Ethics and Compliance Office for the organization of various forums, specifically with regards to matters connected to the prevention of the manipulation of competitions.
Awareness-Raising
- Facilitate the creation of content and resources to promote the campaign against competition manipulation.
- Coordinate the IOC’s Believe in Sport pre-Games and Games-time activations including planning the logistics, staffing and promotions, at major Olympic events including Milano-Cortina 2026 and Dakar 2026.
- Deliver IOC’s Believe in Sport campaigns and presentations, virtually and on-site, for elite athletes, entourage and competition officials.
- Develop and maintain the Unit’s communication offering and digital presence.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders including International Federations, National Olympic Committees and Athlete Ambassadors.
- Assist with administrative tasks in support of implementing the Unit’s 2025 - 2028 Awareness Raising Strategy.
Other tasks within the OM Unit PMC – specifically supporting Intelligence & Investigations regarding databasing etc. – and within the Ethics & Compliance Department as a whole in case needed regarding administrative support etc.
Our Requirements
- Currently enrolled at a University for a degree or equivalent.
- Excellent knowledge of English, knowledge of additional languages would be an asset.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint Sharepoint and Outlook).
- Experience with digital media highly desirable.
- Commitment to the Olympic Values and the power of sport to unite and inspire is a must.
- Background on political science, international relations, law or education highly desirable.
- Experience in the planning and/or running of awareness-raising activities would be an asset.
- Experience within the sport movement highly desirable.
- Experience in education or integrity campaigns would be an asset.
- Keen sense of priorities to ensure efficient management of projects and deliverables.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in writing and ability to solve problems creatively.
- Ability to multitask; assiduity in following up files; very good drafting and presentation skills.
- Rigorous professional ethics; ability to work in a dynamic environment and respect deadlines.
- Ability to consider interpersonal differences as a source of added value and interact constructively with all kinds of people.
