The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement. A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including the athletes, the National Olympic Committees (NOCs), the International Sports Federations (IFs), Organising Committees for the Olympic Games (OCOGs), the Worldwide Olympic Partners and Media Rights-Holders. It also works with public and private authorities, including the United Nations and other international organisations.

Main responsibilities
  • Lead the development of bespoke campaigns and assets and integration of global campaigns specifically targeting the APAC region, with a focus on the Chinese-speaking market.
  • Prepare for market nuances and run the implementation of campaigns in the APAC region, with a focus on the Chinese-speaking market.
  • Be the region's voice in the global creative process, ensuring APAC market needs are being considered while ensuring there is always a path towards localization to engage audiences, focusing on youth.
  • Lead the development and management of a Chinese digital platform that fulfills users' needs – from content ideation and production and UX optimization to platform operations.
  • Lead the CDP and data management project and use the insights metrics effectively to support acquisition, retention, user experience improvement, ad spend optimization.
  • Support global Olympic sponsor (TOP partners) activation and relationship management.

People responsibilities

  • Support the department in developing greater understand and capabilities to address APAC market, working in close collaboration with Digital Engagement & Marketing teams.
  • Lead relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders required to accelerate the growth of the Olympics brand in APAC marketing, integrating relevant functional teams across the IOC and building strong working relationships with key internal partners, including:
  • Social: marketing campaign implementation and amplification
  • Brand Growth: brand strategy delivery through touchpoints
  • OCS / Content Team: digital platform content synergy
  • Business services: support TOP activation in APAC markets, including those primarily based in-region
  • Insights & Analytics team and Digital Data & Analytics team (DD&A): insight on country-specific measurement trends
  • Corporate Communications: collaboration with regional partner
  • TMS: support Media Rights, Licensing and Commercial teams as needed.

Measurement & Reports

  • Support leadership updates on APAC growth, including assessment of existing work and ongoing assessment of ways to expand / improve presence.
  • Regular reviews with DE&M teams to educate and shape understanding of APAC trends with an eye to what will translate to also support global growth.

Financial / Budget

  • Lead the daily management, reconciliation and tracking of APAC marketing budget.
  • Maintain contractual spend tracking and assessment and participate in finance review process for the APAC marketing programs.


Our requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field.
  • Fluent English, with proficiency in Mandarin preferred or another relevant Asian language
  • Significant experience in developing brands or launching products in Asian markets, with a focus on market penetration, loyalty, and user acquisition across the APAC region.
  • Deep understanding of the APAC media landscape, particularly Chinese-speaking digital platforms, and expertise in leveraging audience insights to optimize marketing investment, engagement, and retention.
  • Extensive experience in managing partnerships with agencies and APAC partners to drive growth and ensure value delivery.
  • Proven ability to mentor teams unfamiliar with the market and navigate a matrixed organization.
