THE POSITION


FIFA’s Licensing & Retail business is a fundamental element of the commercial programme across FIFA Tournaments and Events, as well as the 365 IP programme. The overall ambition of the department is to create short and long-term value for FIFA and its associated stakeholders, and to create ways to engage with fans all year round.

These Are Your Key Tasks

  • Leading the Club relationships for the L&R team, managing approvals, royalty reporting, sales reporting and analysis and all L&R requests received from Clubs. Whilst closely supported by the L&R team and Head of Licensing, the role will lead the FCWC25 project with Clubs to ensure contractual and Brand rules are followed for the inaugural FCWC.
  • Manage access rights to Style Guides and Brand marks for the relevant stakeholders.
  • Day to day contact for FIFA IP Legal, identifying and taking action against highlighted potential counterfeit products.
  • Training of new product licensees on processes and for the Licensing Management System (Brand Comply).
  • Supporting the licensing managers, senior licensing managers and the Head of Licensing & Retail in managing FIFA licensees and FIFA's global licensing agents on required aspects of the licensed business as directed and instructed.
  • May take the lead or shared lead, as appointed by the supervisor, on particular licensing projects, licensing business functions. In addition shall, as appointed by the supervisor, manage particular individual license partners.
  • Provide administrative and operational support across all licensing and retail functions, including FIFA Tournaments and Events.
  • Create reports, presentations, and reviews as directed by the Head Of Licensing, Senior licensing managers and licensing managers.
  • Work closely with the Licensing department on all licensee management and contract management elements, including royalty reporting, approvals, product development and consolidating outstanding payments.
  • Collaborate with the legal and finance team to ensure all business processes are effectively and efficiently implemented and internal legal and finance stakeholders are adequately informed.
  • On a case by case basis, as directed by the supervisor, work with FIFA brand department to support strategic brand development.
  • Develop and maintain relationship with relevant internal colleagues.

The Specific Competencies We Require For This Position Are

  • Previous work experience in licensing, retail, brand management and/or product development an advantage.
  • Understands the need for process efficiencies to enhance the overall output of the department, with experience of similar roles or projects an advantage.
  • Personable and an excellent team player.
  • Highly detail-oriented and with excellent time management and organisational skills. Is able to prioritise and work towards deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral), and able to present in a comprehensive but concise manner.
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop necessary business skills including legal, financial and go-to-market processes.
  • Interested and pro-actively willing to learn about consumer behaviour and market trends.
  • With the ability to evaluate a situation, respond quickly to changing requirements, execute and with the insight to escalate if necessary and ask for support.
  • Skilled at developing effective internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Relevant business degree or experience within a similar environment.
  • Knowledge of the licensing business, consumer and market understanding.
  • Competence experience using Licensing Management systems or knowledge of the core licensee management elements; contract development, royalty management and reporting, approvals and analysis of sales reports.
  • Experience of relevant background in a Licensing role, account management, royalty management and reporting.
  • Proven ability to implement, analyse and improve processes, measure results, and achieve financial goals.
  • Experience and a strong interest in the Sports industry is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English; Proficiency in any other FIFA language (F / ES / GER) is an asset.
  • Proficient in Word / PowerPoint / Excel.
