Meent is supporting the French Gymnastics Federation (FFGym) in the recruitment of a Financial Controller on a fixed-term contract within its Finance & Accounting department.

Founded in 1873, the French Gymnastics Federation is a non-profit organization recognized as being of public utility. It oversees 9 disciplines – including 4 Olympic ones – and a fast-growing recreational sector. The FFGym brings together nearly 350,000 licensed members and a network of 1,400 affiliated clubs across the country.

To fulfill its mission, the Federation relies on a team of 60 employees, manages an annual budget of €21 million, and also operates a dedicated training institute.

Within the General Administration Department, the Finance & Accounting team is made up of 5 members: 1 department head, 1 accountant, 2 assistants, and 1 financial controller. The team is responsible for the Federation’s accounting records and the preparation of annual financial statements.

Missions & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Finance & Accounting, the Financial Controller will be responsible for:

• Preparing annual budgets and forecasting future results ;
• Reviewing and validating general and analytical accounting data and performing global financial analysis ;
• Monitoring the financial performance of the Federation’s various departments ;
• Carrying out regular budget controls: analyzing and monitoring expenses across departments, ensuring compliance with internal procedures ;
• Participating in the year-end closing process and presenting financial statements at the General Assembly ;
• Providing ad hoc and regular financial analyses at the request of the Executive Management or auditing bodies (Federal Treasurer, external accountants, auditors, etc.) ;
• Alerting management in the event of budget overruns or non-compliance with procedures
• Producing financial reports and dashboards ;
• Drafting economic analyses, forecasts, and budgetary management summaries.

Profile Requirements

Education & Experience

• Master’s degree (Bac +4/5) in Finance, Management Control, Accounting, or Audit ;
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar role ;
• Previous exposure to the sports or non-profit sector would be a plus.

Skills & Qualities

• Strong command of accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis techniques ;
• Proficiency in IT tools: Excel, spreadsheets, databases, ERP/accounting software ;
• Precision in data collection and analysis ;
• Strong planning and organizational abilities ;
• Excellent analytical and summarizing skills ;
• Clear communication, diplomacy, and active listening ;
• Ability to embody and promote FFGym’s values ;
• Commitment to confidentiality.

Other information

Contract type: Full-time parental leave cover, with potential to transition into a permanent role – Non Executive status

Location: Paris 10th

Starting date: ASAP

Salary : Based on profile and experience + €10 meal voucher (60% covered by employer) + health insurance (70% covered by employer)
