Meent is supporting Le TIR in recruiting a Reception & Administration Officer on a permanent contract.

Le TIR is located in the heart of Bois de Boulogne in Paris. Its 6,500 members, over half of whom are under 30, are mostly registered as families. They engage in a variety of sports and activities either recreationally or competitively, including tennis, swimming, gymnastics, bridge, and football.

Le TIR is managed by 65 volunteers and 45 employees, who oversee the club’s daily operations. Its multi-sport school ranks among the leading French sports training schools, hosting 650 students aged 6 to 18. The school is continually expanding, focusing on high-level sports development, recreational sports, and sports-health. It is notably distinguished by the strong emphasis it places on the values of sport.

Set on a vast, wooded area with water features, Le TIR offers top-quality sports facilities, including a large outdoor swimming pool, 21 tennis courts, football and basketball fields, and mini-tennis courts.

Role

Within the Member Services Department and reporting to the Reception Manager, the Reception & Administration Officer’s primary responsibilities are to welcome and inform members about the Club’s activities, both sports and cultural. The officer is also responsible for the smooth operational functioning of the Tennis Pavilion (clubhouse) and the various sports areas (tennis courts, gym, golf veranda, etc.) and managing the administrative follow-up for sports and cultural registrations.

This role will mainly be carried out at the Tennis Pavilion, which serves as the central point of contact and information for the Club. The Reception Officer will also be required to replace reception staff during their absence.

Missions & Responsibilities

Reception and Member Information

  • Welcome members according to the defined standards (via phone or in person);
  • Advise, promote, and register members for the Club’s various activities and events;
  • Provide information to members about the Club and its organization;
  • Direct members to the secretariat or sports instructors if needed;
  • Handle sales of products in the shop, manage stringing requests, and offer products/services tailored to members' needs;
  • Manage their own cash register;
  • Enforce the Club’s rules firmly and diplomatically, and report any incidents to the Reception Manager.

Sports Area Management

  • Record court reservations for members and sports managers, as well as the golf veranda;
  • Record and verify the schedules for private lessons and send reports to the finance department;
  • Check the schedules for external users;
  • Send a weekly report on the usage of courts and the golf veranda;
  • Report any malfunctions or damage to sports equipment to the Reception Manager.

Administration

  • Handle member requests that come through the TIR reception email;
  • Register and track sports and activity registrations;
  • Record tennis and padel licenses;
  • Perform various tasks as needed, such as membership follow-ups, stock checks, etc.;
  • Assist in organizing major Club events (TIR celebration, back-to-school weekend);
  • Master the necessary features of the management software.
  • Profile Requirements

Experience

  • 1-year experience in an administrative and reception role.
  • Experience in an association environment is a plus.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Proficiency in office tools (Member management software, Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Personal Attributes
  • Friendly, dynamic, excellent interpersonal skills, strong service orientation.
  • Excellent presentation.
  • Clear communication, both oral and written, with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage stress, maintain composure, and handle conflicts effectively.
  • Proactive, autonomous, and organized.
  • Knowledge of tennis is a plus.

Other informations

Contract type : Permanent (35 hours/week) – Days off: Sunday and Monday or Friday and Saturday

Location : Paris 16th

Starting date : ASAP

Salary : Depending on profile and experience, paid over 13 months
