This senior marketing role is a career-defining opportunity which harmonizes the love for brand-building through sponsorships & partnerships with the passion for sport! This role is at the driving seat of this partnership within GB and work brilliantly with a wide range of internal and external partners and collaborators. The key playmaker in the team, you will work closely with the Guinness GB Brand Team , the GB Sponsorship Team, local execution teams and Senior Stakeholders. You will be the key partner for the Guinness Global lead – and will work hand in hand daily to ensure the strategy, activation playbook and execution is best-in-class and fit for purpose for GB.

To fulfil the requirements of this role, we are looking for a team captain – a leader who has a strong track record in the area of building brands and delivering commercial growth through sponsorships and partnerships. You are an outstanding project manager and seasoned pro at managing complex internal and external partner relationships at all levels, including Exec/Board level. An eye for spotting opportunities to embed our brand in footballing culture is essential. The incumbent needs to be commercially savvy and adept at thriving in a fast paced dynamic environment and of course be at home mixing with the who’s who of world football!

Functional Capabilities For The Role

  • Proven track record of managing large-scale sponsorships/ partnerships, facilitating best-in-class partnership deals and developing/activating world-class integrated marketing campaigns in physical and digital channels.
  • Outstanding commercial & project management experience required to ensure all workstreams progress on time and that recommended TTL plans are successfully implemented in market.
  • Strong understanding of how to M&E sponsorships and activation to ensure brand impact and strong return on investment
  • Proven strategic judgement and analytical rigour, with the ability to translate strategy into action
  • Financial and business case understanding – working with finance partners and PL to ensure we stay on critial metric as well as drive commercial negotiations

  • Building authentic relationships – exceptional with internal and external collaborators of all levels. As comfortable with media/investors as with a local sales team or pub customer.
  • Curiosity and an always on cultural radar particularly in the area of sports – tofind opportunities and shape the future.
  • Delivering performance – move effectively between strategy and operational detail, knowing when and where to intervene and commitment to outstanding delivery of results
  • Managing across a matrixed organisation – crafting outstanding team work and alignment; driving business alignment and senior level belief / support
  • Brilliant people manager and mentor – providing clarity on R&R is key within and outside of direct team.

Essential Qualifications / Experience Required

  • Proven senior level track record with experience in marketing, specifically inclusive of culture and partnerships space. Sports experience preferred.
  • Experience in managing integrated campaigns including ATL and BTL
  • Experience in working across multi market and functional projects
  • Influencing senior collaborators and external partners in service of brand and business outcomes.
  • Partnering with agencies to deliver best quality work
  • Experience in a mix of brand, agency and rights-holder organisations preferred
