FIBA TO LOOK FOR TALENT AT IWORKINSPORT JOB FAIR

FIBA, the world governing body for basketball, is the latest high-profile sport organisation to confirm that it will be recruiting at the innovative sports-focused career fair, iWorkinSport, which will take place in Lausanne, Switzerland, on 18 May.

FIBA – the world governing body for basketball – is an independent association formed by 213 National Basketball Federations throughout the world. It is recognised as the sole competent authority in basketball by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).


Among other things, FIBA runs the FIBA Basketball World Cup every four years; establishes the Official Basketball Rules, the specifications for equipment and facilities, and all internal executive regulations that must be applied to all international and Olympic competitions, for which FIBA also establishes the system of competition; controls and governs the appointment of international referees; regulates the transfer of players from one country to another; controls and governs all international competitions.

The JOB FAIR

The iWorkinSport Job Fair debuted last year as the first international career fair focused on the sports industry, enabling some of the most renowned organisations in the marketplace to meet, interview and recruit students and alumni from the most prestigious sports management courses in Europe. The 2nd edition will take place once again at the SwissTech Convention Center, in Lausanne, Switzerland, on 18 May.


iWorkinSport is more than just a recruitment platform!

The career fair is the perfect place for recruiters and HR professionals to exchange knowledge and promote “what it’s like to work at their companies” to a qualified audience. As an important addition to this year’s programme, the recruiters from various companies will now be invited to take part in a special Recruiters Workshop & Networking Session, on the evening of the 17th May, which will be followed by a dinner with the representatives of the Academic Partners.
