F1 teams dominate list of Most Attractive Employers in Sport
All ten Formula 1 teams appear in the list of the Top 20 Most Attractive Employers among sports teams, according to a survey conducted by the Switzerland-based company iWorkinSport. The list excludes teams from the five major American sports leagues as well as Football clubs, as the study ranks them in their own categories.
Moto GP, Ice Hockey and Rugby Union have one team each represented in the ranking, while seven Basketball teams are also listed.
The study surveyed more than a thousand people from all continents, with the majority already working in sport, and asked them a simple question: “If you could choose to work anywhere in sport, where would that be?”
At first, the respondents chose organisations divided into nine categories, and at the end, they indicated one single preferred choice, overall – the “Employer of their Dreams”.
iWorkinSport Founder and CEO, Joao Frigerio, commented: “Not only the sport, but also the business around Formula One has always been fascinating, so it’s not a surprise to see all ten teams in a Top 20 list of where sports professionals would like to work – considering that this list doesn’t include football clubs or teams from the American leagues. On the other hand, I was surprised to see how strongly Basketball teams were featured in the list."
In the category Sports Teams, the 20 most voted organisations, in alphabetical order, were:
Alfa Romeo (F1, SUI)
Alpha Tauri (F1, ITA)
Bayern Munich (Basketball, GER)
CSKA Moscow (Basketball, RUS)
Ducati (Moto GP, ITA)
