The 1st iWorkinSport Virtual Job Fair is almost upon us, and we are very much looking forward to having you with us in this innovative digital event.
We have received a growing number of questions lately,
and I will try to answer to some of them here.
However, please note that on Thursday, 7 May, at 16h CET,
we will host a LIVE webinar and Q&A session, in which we will try to answer
all of your questions.
Here is the link for the LIVE Webinar.
If you have any questions that you would like us to
answer at the LIVE webinar, please just post them in the comments section of
the video
Here are the answers for some Frequently Asked
Questions:
Q: HOW AND WHEN WILL I LOG IN THE VIRTUAL JOB
FAIR?
A:Later this week, you will receive a link to
the Virtual Platform and will be asked to register again (now for that new
platform).
A: All companies are invited to do so, however
a few may choose not to do it. TEAM Marketing for instance informed us that,
since they do not have an opening at the moment, they would prefer to simply
meet the candidates at their stand. They will collect CVs as they interact with
the attendees.
Note that a few companies that have not posted invites
yet may still do so before the event.
A: No. Registering for and attending the job
fair does not guarantee that you will be offered a job or even an interview. We
do not provide jobs, but the opportunity for you to connect with and learn from
professionals who recruit in the sports industry and are in constant search for
talent. In many cases, that indeed ends up leading to a candidate being
hired... however that is certainly something we cannot promise.
A: We have no idea of who a company will
interview or not. We do not know who applied for which position and who the
companies have selected to interview. We do not interfere or participate in any
stage of the process, apart from posting the opportunities and providing the
platform for you to meet and interact.
A: There
may be many reasons of why a company has not replied to your application or
invited you for an interview. As explained above, we do not hold information
about that. However, we can tell you that even without having a pre-booked
interview, you will still have the chance to meet and interact with all
recruiters and company representatives at the event. In previous Job Fairs, we
have had cases of people that have been able to land a job even after having
had their application formally declined. The platform creates that unique
opportunity of giving you the chance to present yourself to recruiters even
after failing to be shortlisted in a formal application process.
A: In an effort to provide a “real” Job Fair
feel, the Virtual Job Fair will have four main areas candidates will be able to
explore.
Each stand has a public chat room, where everyone can see
the questions and answers posted, but private chats are also available for
those looking for some one-on-one interaction. Recruiters will also be able to
invite candidates that spark their interest to join a video chat for a quick
ad-hoc interview.
