iWorkinSport Job Fair 2024: Continuously Inspiring Connections and Career Opportunities

iWorkinSport, the first truly international job fair dedicated to careers in sport, celebrated the sixth edition of its annual Job Fair on June 5th, 2024, at the SwissTech Convention Center, in Lausanne, Switzerland.

The 2024 edition of the iWorkinSport Job Fair once again fostered invaluable connections between recruiters and job seekers. Dedicated to revolutionizing the way sports professionals find their dream jobs, iWorkinSport attracted hundreds of ambitious candidates who seized the opportunity to engage in impactful job interviews with esteemed sports organizations from around the world.

While the event showcased mostly Switzerland-based international sports organizations, a third of exhibitors and recruiting companies hailed from abroad. Recruiters from countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Egypt converged to seek out exceptional talent.

The 2024 job fair featured an extensive lineup of renowned companies actively seeking to fill more than 100 positions. : adidas, the Confederation of African Football (CAF), C'mon Sports, European Club Association (ECA), Elevate Global, FC Stade Lausanne Ouchy, FIBA, Infront Sports & Media, International Olympic Committee (IOC), International Skating Union (ISU), iWorkinSport, Major Events International Ltd, Sportcarriere, TEAM Marketing, Wiz-Team and World Aquatics were among the esteemed organizations seeking talent.

In addition to facilitating connections between candidates and recruiters, the job fair also boasted a top-quality conference program. Attendees were treated to company presentations and enlightening panels featuring seasoned professionals who generously shared their expertise, aiding candidates in their pursuit of fulfilling their goals. The conference culminated in an inspiring keynote speech by the Head of the FIFA Foundation, Mariana Banus, who gave a presentation titled "The Agile Professional: Embracing change and innovation in your first half", leaving the audience both motivated and encouraged.

This edition of the event introduced a new feature: for the first time, those unable to attend the job fair in person could follow the entire program via live stream on the event's app. Online participants also had the opportunity to apply for interviews with all the recruiting companies.

The event's activities extended beyond the job fair itself, with a pre-event workshop exclusively designed for recruiters and academic partners. Powered by Sportcarriere, HR and Talent Acquisition professionals engaged in fruitful discussions about the challenges, needs, and trends that sports organizations are currently going through in order to attract and retain talent. This was followed by a VIP dinner and the highly anticipated 3rd edition of The Most Attractive Employers in Sport Awards. The prestigious evening took place against the backdrop of the stunning Olympic Museum, offering panoramic views of Lake Geneva.

This year, the job fair was supported by an impressive lineup of academic partners including AISTS, Johan Cruyff Institute, FIFA Master, University of Bath, GOALS International Master, EU Business School, ESBS, IE University and the FBA. Their collaboration highlighted iWorkinSport's dedication to supporting future sports professionals and offering a platform for career development.

The iWorkinSport Job Fair is organized by ENGAGE Sports & Entertainment SA, a Swiss-based events company, with the support of the International Centre for Sport Studies – CIES (Gold Partner) and Sportcarriere, the Recruiters’ Workshop Presenter.
