In May 2020, in response to suggestions and requests made by several attendees of the 1st iWorkinSport Virtual Job Fair, we created the We Work In Sport Linkedin group.
More than just connecting people, we wanted to give voice to all of you, so that, together, WE all can all help each other grow and succeed in our sports journey. That’s why we called the group WE Work In Sport and not iWorkinSport.
In the past 12 months we’ve been working on an upgraded version, built in a fit-for-purpose community platform, and soon we will invite all of you to join that platform, as we will slowly migrate our community activities to that.
With the new platform, there will be some new cool offerings. One of them will be the introduction of weekly Office Hours in which you’ll be invited to a live conversation with iWorkinSport's founder, Joao Frigerio, and a special guest - usually a professional career coach.
The intention is to be able to answer the constant requests for career advice that we receive on a weekly basis. So this will be your chance to connect to our live stream and ask all your questions. I hope you won’t be shy! :-) Remember: your questions might help not only you, but many others in our community too - so we hope that you’ll participate.
In this first episode, we’ll have the pleasure to host Tom Sears, an experienced career coach and head-hunter, Managing Director at KinseySears.
Tom has over 20 years of experience as a senior sports industry executive and now is leading the sports industry leadership development and sourcing specialists KinseySears.
He is an ILM/WABC qualified and accredited Executive Coach/Mentor, a qualified PPA DISC assessor and a regular tutor on sports leadership degree programmes with a number of universities.
While we prepare to migrate to the new platform, I’d like to invite you to join our first We Work In Sport OFFICE HOURS here.
The session will happen on Tuesday, February 21st, at 6pm CET. You must register to attend.
We look forward to seeing you there.
