Your Role

As an integral part of the broader Premium Experience & Commercial Events Team within the Commercial function, this role is dedicated to driving the overall success of Formula E's Premium Experiences, encompassing EMOTION CLUB, Race Suites, Electric Lounge, and Commercial Events. From conceptualisation to execution, you will lead the development and management of premium experiences across various international markets.

This is a hands-on, proactive position requiring a confident leader capable of effective communication at all levels, both internally and externally. Collaboration across departments and coordination with diverse suppliers will be second nature to you, ensuring flawless execution. With a keen commercial mindset, you will navigate and deliver within stringent time and financial constraints. Above all, your focus will remain on consistently delivering one of the sports' most premium and distinctive hospitality experiences.

Key Deliverables

  • Lead and ensure exceptional planning & delivery of some of Formula E’s key revenue drivers, aiming to exceed, not just meet all standards
  • Owning, tracking & operating within budget targets
  • Innovate and create memorable experiences for Formula E teams & partners
  • Curate truly localised premium experiences talking to our calendar and the Formula E brand
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the organization & maintain key relationships
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with premium experience agencies
  • Ensure all experiences comply with accessibility requirements and safety standards
  • Continuously improve client engagement and internal communication processes

What You Will Be Doing:

Delivering a Flawless Event Experience Including


  • Drive the strategy for Commercial Events to deliver activations, unique experiences and revenue driving events for our Championship
  • Ensuring clear and concise client communications
  • Ensuring all activity is properly planned and managed in a timely manner
  • Constantly striving to hone existing and develop new and exciting concepts
  • Working with catering to manage the price, sustainability, quality and uniqueness of food & beverage delivery & streamlined ways of working
  • Outlining appropriate staffing requirements for premium experience planning & delivery including hosts, local team support, contractors and Formula E personnel
  • Liaising to ensure clear and effective spectator journey including event wayfinding & access routes
  • Developing core concepts and other creative elements to deliver client facing assets to drive sales and experiential communications
  • Drive the strategy for Commercial Events to deliver activations, unique experiences and revenue driving events for our Championship
  • Create tools and hone ways of working to drive efficient event planning across the business
  • Manage workload and R&R to maximise success and find operational efficiencies
  • Events include but are not limited to: Conferences, launch events, Gala Dinners, After Parties, partner events on-site and off-site
  • Working to achieve key organization milestones & deadlines
  • Develop and maintain cross-departmental workflows using a project management approach
  • Team-wide organization & management with targeted approaches to succeed
  • Ensuring clear and concise client communications
  • Ensuring all activity is properly planned and managed in a timely manner

  • Ensuring we stay within our cost base & drive past minimum margin thresholds
  • Support the team regarding commercial conversations with clients regarding pricing and cost structures with a commercially savvy approach
  • Drive cost efficient opportunities with multi-event / multi-year agreements with service providers
  • Development and quality control across market trends, competing products and challenging the Formula E products to remain at the forefront of premium and innovation
  • Administerial items such as…
    • End-to-end administrative ownership for all aspects of the premium experience
    • All elements of Pre / Race Day delivery
    • Responsible for tracking and challenging POs for approval
    • Responsible for creating quotations and support end to end client communication through to invoicing
    • Create strong design concepts that integrate seamlessly with the structure to deliver a best-in-class hospitality experience for all guests
Experience required:

  • Proven experience curating & delivering elite experiences internationally working on premium experience in sport, music, entertainment, or another related field
  • Managing large budgets and supplier contracts
  • Prior experience in an operational role, working on a pop-up event site or in a large venue
  • Team leader, experienced in developing and managing a team
  • International large scale event planning & delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and commercialise innovative activations and event initiatives

Skills and aptitudes required:

  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Working in collaborative teams
  • Excellent IT skills with the ability to pick up new technology quickly
  • Fluent in English language, other languages are desirable
  • Creative thinker
  • Business acumen and ability to drive ROI
  • Ability to lead by example and set the highest delivery standards
  • Comfortable to ask the “right” questions, challenge where necessary and build genuine relationships internally and externally
