Purpose of Role

The position is responsible for leading the strategic planning and implementation of Brand marketing plans and Retail marketing programs for Under Armour in the Distributor Markets in EMEA; Italy, Scandinavia, Greece, Poland, Eastern Europe, CIS, Austria, Spain, Middle East, Turkey, Balkans, Israel, North Africa, South Africa and the UK & EU Golf Distributor. The role will focus on ensuring premium and consistent marketing executions throughout the region, setting up effective marketing alignment across the different distributor markets and supporting the local marketing distributor leads to elevate the consumer experience.

Your Impact

  • Provide guidance and coordinate premium and integrated marketing programs to drive brand awareness and consumer conversion, aligned with the cross functional EMEA Marketing team.
  • Monitor the annual and seasonal marketing calendar with the Distributor markets, ensuring a full funnel execution approach for all initiatives and channels (attract/engage/convert).
  • Lead and co-develop DTC and Wholesale retail marketing plans with the Commercial Distributors leads and the key Marketing leads in country, aligned with regional seasonal brand initiatives.
  • Approve the execution of retail and communication materials around seasonal and category initiatives, to deliver executional excellence (physical retail & digital)
  • Partner with the internal creative team for content approvals for both, seasonal marketing executions/ adaptations and content development for local initiatives.
  • Support on PR and media initiatives within the distributors markets, aligning with the internal Category and PR teams.
  • Omnichannel events activation guidance, ensuring brand right concepts, seamless alignment and connection with the brand seasonal stories, for a consistent regional execution.
  • Transfer specific sports marketing needs from the distributor markets to
  • EMEA HQ, providing local advice in developing a solid sports marketing roster and assets activation.
  • Analyze marketing/sales performance from the different markets to evaluate results and measure brand success through seasonal campaign reporting.
  • Monthly and quarterly report the distributors practices and marketing executions evolution in the marketplace during and after the seasonal campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • +5 years of experience, proven track record in brand and trade marketing experience within EMEA across sports and/or lifestyle brand(s), or equivalent combination of education and relation experience.
  • Strong understanding across communication and retail marketing mechanics.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across functions.
  • Fluency of English, both conversational and written is an essential function.
  • Additional languages will be a plus.
  • Experience working for either a start-up or high-growth organization is a plus.
  • Proven global citizen through travel and diversity of experiences.
  • Prior experience working for an international brand with a strong, premium, and distinct culture.
  • Proven communication skills coordinating international agencies/vendors.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Strong presentation skills. Both verbal and written.

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Amsterdam office.
  • Return to Work Designation: Hybrid work (baseline of minimum 2 days a week in-office.
  • Travel: IE- 5-10% of the year
