Job Description

The Athlete and Partnership Marketing Manager is pivotal in managing relationships with key football leagues, clubs coordinating between internal divisions, regions, and external partners, and overseeing the production and management of marketing content featuring athletes. Key responsibilities are:

Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for UEFA agencies Team Marketing and CAA11, ensuring effective communication and partnership.
  • Manage and cultivate relationships with Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL) and the English Premier League, maintaining regular interactions to align on marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Coordinate and align strategies between internal divisions and regional teams to ensure consistent and effective league engagement.

Marketing Coordination

  • Oversee the creation, production, and distribution of marketing content featuring athletes, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with content creators, agencies, and internal teams to develop compelling athlete-driven campaigns that enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Manage the approval process for marketing materials, ensuring compliance with league and athlete agreements.

Internal Collaboration

  • Act as the liaison between internal divisions, including product development, sales, and legal, to streamline processes and ensure cohesive execution of marketing strategies.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings and updates to ensure all stakeholders are informed and aligned on key initiatives and timelines.
  • Develop and implement internal processes to enhance communication and collaboration between departments.

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and execute partnership marketing strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for new partnerships and collaborations to expand brand reach and engagement.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.

Compliance And Legal Coordination

  • Ensure all partnership agreements and marketing activities adhere to internal legal requirements and external regulations.
  • Coordinate with the legal team to review and approve contracts and agreements with partners, leagues, and athletes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in partnership marketing, athlete marketing, or a similar role within the sports industry.
  • Proven track record of managing relationships with major sports leagues and agencies.
  • Strong understanding of sports marketing, including content creation, digital marketing, and brand management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with collectible brands or within the sports collectibles industry.
  • Familiarity with European and international football leagues and their marketing landscapes.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages, particularly English or other European languages
